All-In-One Printers – The Pros and Cons

All-In-One Printers

I have a Dell All-In-One printer at my home and I have to say that I love it.  They are convenient for someone like myself who does not use it on a daily basis.  It seems like a great idea to have a printer, scanner, copier, and fax machine all in one place, there are some cons to this process.  These all-in-one printers are convenient but can be costly.  The printer cartridges are not cheap.  If your fax machine breaks and you have to take it to a shop to have it fixed, you also have to send your printer, copier, and scanner.  I love mine and so far I haven’t had any problems.  If I had this machine at work, where I am constantly using all of those functions, I do believe I would have my fair share of problems.

I definitely have to agree with you. I have a EasyShare Kodak All-in-one printer and absolutely love it. This machine matches perfectly with my Kodak digital Camera. It took lots of research to make sure I had chosen the best printer for my family. The cartridges are inexpensive and it has a LCD screen. When your printer, copier, fax, and scanner are all on one machine I agree that if something needs to be repaired it can be a hassle but when you have great customer service and a warranty than it is only a minor set back. I’ve heard the Dell all-in-one printer is a great printer and would definitely consider that when I have to purchase another one.

I have a Dell All-In-One printer, also, I like the convenience of having the printer, fax, copier, and scanner at home. But I think the ink cartridges are to expensive, I can only get the cartridge for my printer from Dell at this time, OfficeMax has not started carrying the ones for my printer yet.
I, also, have problems with printing at times and I am not sure if it is a printer issue or a laptop issue. I will go to print and it will not print until I either do a shut down then turn the laptop back on or restart.
More employers are turning to an All-In-One, also, they are larger and companies are buying them as copiers. Where I work we have two copiers that can do all but not all employees use them. When printing letters it can be problems, they do better when used with plain white printer paper no problems with someone printing on what you are working on.

I like my all-in-one, although lately I’ve become increasingly irritated with the ink fiascoes. If printer ink isn’t expensive enough to begin with, it seems as if every major manufacturer has their own method of milking their customers for even more ink money.

I also have an All-In-One printer and I use it constantly, until it runs out of ink, then I head to the nearest library or Kinko’s. The versatility of the product makes it very efficient while working on presentations for work or school. My fiancée is able to scan pictures and then send them on an online producer, keeping her from having to stand in line at the store, waiting for hours to scan her pictures and print them, behind some sweet old lady who was born in 1923 and doesn’t know how to work the machine. We actually have two printers, but she always sends her pictures to one of the major companies because the picture quality is not up to par for her scrapbooking/picture fetish. We have it set up in the spare bedroom and we both have laptops, so when we need to print, we just take it in there and print off what is necessary. I would run it on our wireless network, with all of our other electronics, but I haven’t had the time or the patience to buy the adapter and set the printer up.
